I dont see anything good about being 50 much, you are more likely to have health problems as you get older, no matter how hard you try you are never going to look as good as you did at twenty. I would rather be young again, especialy if i knew a bit then that i know now. I dont believe in trying to look younger, if other people do, thats up to them.

No, 50 is the new black. 40 is the new 45. I'm not sure where 60 comes into it but it might be orange.

I am quite comfortable with my age (52). Ok I have health problems which I didn't have in my 20/30's and I certainly look older...but isn't that a natural state of affairs. I'm more confident generally than I was when I was younger, and whilst I'm far from happy about my body shape/size (far too many wobbly bits ), it doesn't bother me to undress in front of a room full of people whereas when I was younger I wouldn't even use communal changing rooms when shopping for clothes or at the swimming pool. I have no real desire to be younger than my age...I'm quite happy to grow old disgracefully

little house on the praire

Ive no plans on wishing my life away, however, i am looking forward to being 50. I will be the slimmest and healthiest ive been in adult life. People are generally getting younger looking and more active. My mum is 67 and acts and looks at least 10 years younger. I seriously forget that im not 35 for some reason 35 is the age that has stuck in my head. I remember being 20 and thinking that it was the perfect age and that i never wanted to get older, now i just embrace it. Jay will be 70 next year and bless him he doesnt look young for his age, but his mind is so young, hes very fit, plays tennis 3 times a week, gets on very well with all his daughters friends in there early 30's. I think its your attitude rather than the age you are.

I know women my age (47) that dress and look the same age as my mum, well actually they dress older as my mum wouldnt be seen dead in something fogey although she has a few suspect items of clothing now

I'm 55 in 6 weeks time, and I'm happy with my lot.

I'm still reasonably fit, and I feel like I left school only a couple of years ago.

It will be a couple of years before I'm married to a 50yr old woman though

Ahem! May I refer you to the women at 55 thread? Besides which its all a question of priorities and they change as you get older.

Ok so I won't be able to repeat sexually as many times in my fifties as I can now. So I'll put the emphasis on going hours between ejaculating!

Same as now, I probably couldn't go on a 24 hour bender and be bright eyed and bushy tailed for work the next morning. At 20 I certainly could and the thought I wouldn't be able to would have mortified me at that age. Now I couldn't give a shit and just make sure I'm having a heavier session when I have the next day off.

At 20 I probably didn't have the technique required to unwrap and eat a wham bar whilst pedalling a bmx rapidly around corners that was second nature when I was 9. Did it bother me? I hope not, haha!

See priorities change lass. I won't place the same emphasis on the same things at 50 as I do now, and neither should anyone.

With serenity comes confidence as well as peace of mind, and this is one thing that all older people I have spoken to tell me is great about being fifty-plus!

"no matter how hard you try you are never going to look as good as you did at twenty."

Thing is, although not exactly old at 33, I look and feel far better now than I did at 20, and that's with all the health problems I've had over the last 6 months leading up to being diagnosed with diabetes.
