I've been here such a long time but I don't know some basic things, it's almost embarrassing - except I don't bother with that.

What basic fab stuff don't you know?

Mine- you'll not need to assume I maybe took a sneaky look at your profile or pics, without you being able to know as

I've forgotten how to look in private ninja mode . 10 years here, I must have known!

Although I’ve been on here 9.5 years I don’t think I ever really cracked how to turn conversations with people I really liked into meeting. I also had a 5 year sabbatical where I spent quite a lot of my time on the forum, doing my utmost to put people off any idea of meeting me. However I think I may well have worked it out now,

You ask them directly Witchdoctor.

"Oi you! Wanna hang out with me for a bit?" Simples. It's usually ignored or a "no"... but it's unlikely to be a "yes" if you don't ask.

I don't know how people know exactly how long they've been on here. My profile just says 'Joined: more than a year'.I haven't got a clue when I joined but I'm fairly sure it's less than 2 years.

Aah, photo has been here 14 months so I guess it's not much longer than.

I was ok at asking and making intentions clear but finally sealing the deal has been the challenge. I’m getting there now though. I’m good at choosing, I don’t tend to get outright no’s. However logistics and timing and a couple of other things make it slightly more complicated. I don’t like being pushy so things take time. I’ve learned not to get disheartened if things don’t move as quickly as I would like. I’m a bit of an eager beaver, and quite enthusiastic. I also made a couple of faux pas but don’t we all. I’m make very good progress now though
