"I've very much felt like that the last few months, I just have to keep reminding myself that I'm on decent money here and to keep sticking it out until I spot an opportunity elsewhere...." Me too ... but a lot of things have changed since I joined and I'm not sure I enjoy it like I used to.

" Same here, when I first started the job just over 4 years ago it was such a breath of fresh air to my previous one and certainly the first two years were great, but it's gradually turned into my previous job and I'm as stressed and knackered as I was then. Balancing that with being an army reservist is hard!

"I think about it all the time but always concerned I wouldnt find something else before I run out of money. It's unlikely I'd find another job that would pay me what I'm on now as I'd have to start all over again." I can always do Consultancy if needed so no concerns there.

"My work took me to Bilston today. What I can't understand is; it's been over a hundred a years since they stopped sending kids up chimneys but things like this are still going on, WHY? (sorry Kelly) Always people willing to take advantage or even abuse others. "

"I'm not in the same situation but probably wouldn't do this, unless I had great plans for the both the immediate and longer-term future. If I had issues with my employment, I'd aim to get some resolution or improvements, as this may be more satisfying in the shorter-term, even if you're looking for alternative employments. That said, it's tempting to be able to walk away from a situation but it's likely short term gain, with the potential costs felt later on." That's part of the problem, the company has been restructuring for 2 years and there is no end in sight.

Was offered a job in the RAF after I left school but took an apprenticeship that paid more instead ... regret that a bit now ... could be retired and on full pension by now

"Did it, wasn't financially secure, still not, no plan, but I muddle along. Doing it again now, new location, new business, no car, brink of bankruptcy, but that just makes the outcome that more special" Good luck to you

Well I work in the online poker industry. As it's all I know after 15 years I'd have to move to Gibraltar, which I really don't fancy doing.
