Yes .. but the person most responsible for their safety is the cyclist / bike rider

And I am all of a cyclist, bike rider and car driver

..

I’m all for thinking bike but bikers need to think car as well. They need to stop nipping in and out where there isn’t a safe gap.

I used to have a motorbike so I do feel qualified to comment

I totally agree but as a biker myself, I've been put in more dangerous situations by car drivers than I've put myself in, granted, you only become a better and safer rider with experience... And one a few occasions I've flipped my visor (at the appropriate time) and reminded them that I'm someone's daughter, that usually hits home more than flipping my visor and calling them something...

Totally with you ... but the situation the OP described sounds entirely not the car driver's fault ... everyone could drive better on today's roads tbh

I agree. Hubby is mostly on 2 wheels and says he always rides with the assumption that other road users are out to kill him

We took our son's motorbike keys away from him because he was stupid when riding it once too often. Most bikers and vehicle drivers are aware of each other, some are not.
