Women proposing...

I don't know if id have the bottle to do something like getting down on one knee and asking a man to spend the rest of our lives together..

So ladies, would you do it??

Gents, how would you feel about it if a woman asked for your hand in marriage?

Think im a traditionalist and would want a guy to ask my dad, then me if he got the thumbs up

As I've already posted on another thread, Kate proposed to me way back in 1981, and we wed 18 months later.

It worked for us

That's not bad. When i dropped a subtle hint, with a brick attached it must be said, all i got was advice on sex and travel.

I would think so, there aren't many virgins or virgin births around these days.

I suspect the last great famous one wasn't all it was made out to be.

K proposed to me on this day in 1976, married in August 1977 and still very much in love. I have no doubt I would have got round to asking her eventually lol

That's got to be a dying tradition... unless someone comes up with a 'Dad Finder' app.

I firmly believe a bloke should do it. Im extremely traditional about these things. And seconded, he'd have to ask my dad, as I think it shows respect.

Got married, got the kids, got the grandchild.

Not sure I would be interested in going there a second time.

But who, knows if the bug bites.

No I wouldn't, traditional all the way for me which means getting down on one knee holding a small leather box containing a large solitaire diamond

I asked mrshields via the forum yesterday - well i could hardly go down on bended knee as we're 175 mile apart at the moment. He said yes - so now just got to wait for the divorce to come through!
