Can provoke powerful memories. I was in my shed today, and that solventy smell; a mix of paints, oils etc, brought back my early youth ..

1981 and grabbing my bike from my dad's shed to cycle down to our local park to glimpse a golden haired girl I liked...and totally failed to get off with!

But that smell of the shed, still brings back my youthful longings!

Cornwall

Two types of smell that always take me back probably the best part of 40 years. A strong scented rose & honeysuckle reminds me of my grandmothers garden and this time of year, and the other smell is good old linseed oil putty. My grandfather always seemed to be replacing windows/glass and the shed used to smell of that.

Some where in West Yorkshire

Sounds weird but the locker room at work smells like the video tape rental shop I used to visit as a kid with my mam and dad lol.
