Is yours good?

I know I’m working too many hours at present, but should hopefully be able to work from home soon. That will help reduce travelling and time.

I work from home and it's a work life balance... I wake up at home, work from the time I wake up till i give up or fall a sleep in the evening at home.

I try to take a day off and end up working all of it.

My work life balance is .. work none stop till I pass out and hope I can book a holiday abroad as that is the only way I'll actually get any time away from work.

I’m not sure if this work/life balance concept really exists.

Doesn't if the goal is to be good at what you do.

I try and work the least hours I possibly can that I can afford

There is never enough money.

So as long as I can pay my rent, buy food and wine and go out a few times a month - that's all I need.

I got rid of my car years ago, I don't care about designer labels etc .. I don't have kids, I am skint but free!

I did a full on week for extra money last week and I was miserable

I take half days whenever possible and have worked it out that I can live on around 30hrs a week.

That's enough!

What a dream... Sounds lush to me compared to my 70 hour week

Very good.

we've both always had the opinion that family and quality time together comes before work and usually by default before material possessions.

I'm sure you have a lot to show for it though.

You sound like us! I did six weeks full time a couple of years ago. It was AWFUL.

A world all of his own

At the start of the year it was heavily work biased, but that was my choice as I was saving up plus the weather was crappy, short days etc. Most I did was something like 120 hours in 11 days.

Now the weather is better and I've done saving up it's back to standard hours and no overtime
