Why do people stand us up?

It's only a let down if you allow it to be.

See it as a new opportunity instead. You've proved it this week. Don't give those that stand you up the satisfaction of reacting/complaining/stomping your feet. Be the bigger person.

My thoughts exactly on them either chickening out or getting a thrill out of leading others on. It's also a kick in the teeth when they ghost others as well.

I agree. It's better to report and block those who do this to others.

Some kind soul explained the thrill of being a keyboard voyeur to me and I think we have many of those here. Simply get their kicks from the lead on to the chase but by the time the actual meet arrives, flaccid as an empty hot water bottle.

It hurts, it’s annoying. Will we get used to it? No, but we’ll build immunity

My first ever fab meet was a no show. Not the best start...

I think his wife (that I didn’t know about...) wouldn’t let him

Blocked, moved on.

I’ve had 2 out of 4 no shows - all just planned to be quick social meets.

Most of us have been there, I gave zero fucks to anyone that stood me up, people chicken out and some just lead you on, the only problem is you don’t know who those people will be until the time comes, anyhooooo chin up and keep on keeping on
