I tend not to have my images public as I prefer a bit of discretion, but I do send a face pic to those who I message.

Sometimes I get blocked instantly with no reply or explantion.

Makes me wonder why. Perhaps they just dont like me, or perhaps they know me. Leaves me wondering who it is or why they blocked me.

Anyone else get the same?

Yeah I understand that. I'm never worried more curious as to whether someone recognises me or not. For some reason its a bit of a turn on

When I'm meeting, I put my pics public thus avoiding all the issues you posted OP.

However for someone who require discretion, you still can put your faceless pics public.

Guilty as charged. People block others for all kinds of reasons but the main one is not to contact or be contacted by them as they are 100% sure they will not be interested.

Some use the block button as a filter.

You're possibly not their type so they block so you don't appear in their future searches etc..

Nowt so strange as folk

I’ve been on here just over a week, I’ve wrote I’m not gay and not wanting to meet men. I’ve had 53 messages asking me if I’d like to meet guys, I’ve blocked everyone for the reason that I’m not gay and not wanting to meet guys.

So it could just be that they use block as a filter.

Or you could be sensible and just block messages from guys? Then problem solved ...

We don’t reply to people without public pictures. That’s our thing as much as theirs is to remain entirely anonymous.

I always send a pic when I'm messaging so they can see me. Just dont want it on show for everyone to see

I understand that but we want people to be showing public pictures. Not of their face obviously but something of themselves - it’s part of our risk management and that’s that.

, I am but never been blocked by them, but otherwise I have been blocked by Asian couple/single. There is no thumb rule, some don't prefer some don't want to see me again, so much disparity here hard to conclude

Its a filter, try not to take it personally.

I tend to block anyone I spy who’s local to me for example. That could be via them messaging me and / or seeing them pop up in the forums.

I use the "block" button for the following reasons:

•as a filter to those I know it's not a match. Not just for me but from what I read on their profile and what they're looking for.

•often see the same people checking out my profile, I wink or message but no response. After awhile I just think to myself if yr not interested why'd u keep looking?

•Made mistake in past of accepting people as friends that I've just chatted too. After a while they ignore yr messages even tho u can see they've read them. First time maybe genuine mistake second time I unfriend/block. What's the point

Brutal perhaps.....but it saves time. I like to think I'm genuine and expect the same. Blocking helps out some of those here to just chat and those here who're serious bout actually hooking up.

I take no offence to those that block me. For whatever reason they dont like what they read or see. Indirectly it's probably doing me a favour.

I think people block because it's easier to cut people out who don't interest them. It might not be your face, it could be age or you're just the type of man that they are looking for.

Try not to take it personally!
