I think those adverts on TV for sanitary products are a scam anyway, I bought the ones they advertise with wings, I put one on and I couldn't swim dance or horse ride any better

I wish we could go back to the day when we had only 3 stations, they didn't start transimission until about 9.30 in the morning, they closed down around lunch time and showed the test card, re-opened later in the afternoon with childrens tv then closed again for the night with the epilogue at 11:30pm.

I know that might sound like it was back in the dark ages but I'm talking about 1977 - not so long ago really.

With 24/7 television it's not suprising that we no longer have quality programmes, it simply isn't possible to produce quality in such quantitiy

oh i disagree they do some fabulous stuff these days

great period dramas like Downton Abbey and upstairs downstairs

or crime dramas like Whitechapel or law and order

or documenties like Royal marines: mission Afghanistan

or even the american stuff like Deaperate houswives or Homeland

i'm loving the stuff on tv an the mo but then i guess its all subjective we all like different things

Hundreds of channels....plenty of choice of what you watch in the modern age...so no, it doesn't bother me.

"are you as sick as i am with all the crap the telly companys show, if its not a realiety show its a bloody repeat, i remember when there was good stuff on"

They have always repeated from the early years so its nothing new. At one point there were only 3 channels to choose from and little day time TV. Its a poor situation if you can't find something on the 40 plus ones there are available.

We never watch anything that's on british television unless it's the odd documentary, Being Human or Hustle. We generally watch american tv.

We love:

Spartacus

The Walking Dead

Touch - only seen pilot, show starts in March, it's the most promising pilot I've ever seen.

Desperate housewives.

The River

American Horror Story.

Are you there chelsea?

Californication.

The LA complex.

If we ever put our virgin box on we end up flicking through too many channels and never find anything to land on.

The picture quality issue is most likely to be related to your equipment as is the audio sync problem which you mention.

The most common cause of bad audio sync is a badly set up home cinema system.

It's a good thing we all don't like the same things, I'm completely the opposite I hate most things that come from America TV wise, but on saying that recently I watched the new version of True Grit which I enjoyed, the very next day the original was on so I watched that to compare the two, the original did it for me lol

Lets just face facts, all these reality Programs are cheap to make in comparison with the cost of making good drama.

I personally think I'd rather keep my feet on the ground, trying to get or aspire to the things that are sometimes portrayed in reality programs such as Makeover/DIY, can sometimes lead to either constructional or financial problems, people can be so gullable trouble

"

Love love love The big bang theory love also Family Guy aswell and American Dad"

Big bang theory is brilliant. Love Sheldon but Amy is favourite now. All that pent up sexual frustration and her unabashed girl crush on Penny lol

Other great comedies,

The Middle - basically the story of our family lol

Mordern Family - I want to be Gloria lol

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

remember when channel 5 first started and in the evening it was basically a soft porn station.... I miss those days.

I am not a porn fan and full on porn does nothing for me.... but I could often have a lady wank to the soft porn stuff.
