"Are you talking a mug of instant, generic coffee and two tiny battery farmed pale eggs on two slices of thin, cheap white and disgusting ‘spread’ or two large free range eggs on a thick slice of hot, toasted sourdough spread thickly with best grass fed salted butter and a mug of filter coffee with a glug of cream?" Oh I could eat that second offer right now and guarantee it would cost more than £5.99 here...

If it’s allergies it must be hell living near one of those bakeries as they smell soooooooo good ![]() I’ve not eaten them for ten years after a diagnosis of T2. The side effect is that body of mine and a permanent state of smug bitch. I’m carnivore these days and I can resist all those carbs because I see them as nutritionally damaging. I’m also incredibly healthy and can call myself a diabetic in remission.

"There's a cafe in London that only has eggs, bread, butter, jam and tea and coffee on the menu and its all do-it-yourself too. Two eggs on toast and a mug of tea is £20!" Cheap for London, their rent and rates are probably astronomical.

"Wtf robbing twats its half that back in wakey ![]() If one wants increased wages then inflation increases. Unfortunately some don't get the same increase while others get far more, but the inflated prices don't take into consideration not all get pay increases in line.

"Is that all ![]() Well I know a great place where a large full Irish with toast, unlimited tea/coffee £4.75. You will be very lucky to find a free table when you walk in, have had to wait 20 mins before. Opens at 8.00 and closes at 4.00. Nothing puking about it, and far better than any other in the town, not just on value. Most of the cost of food is in the rental and then labour, so venue is more about cost than the product. Much like a bottle of water. Mostly transport, profit, packaging, then product.

"There's a cafe in London that only has eggs, bread, butter, jam and tea and coffee on the menu and its all do-it-yourself too. Two eggs on toast and a mug of tea is £20!" I read about that place........it’s actually a not for profit cafe who do not have set prices. They have an honesty box on the wall where people can put in whatever that can afford to pay. If they have no money they can still have breakfast. The payment of £20 was just something that one person decided to donate towards the costs of helping to feed those who cannot afford to feed themselves

"Get yourselftto a Toby Carvery. The breakfast is an all-you-can-eat cooked breakfast buffet for a fiver. Bargain! " I should say a toby also. As you get button mushrooms and fried bread. At spoons you get 1 stingy mushroom and toast.

"I've worked in a meat processing factory that produce sausages/Burgers etc, Some get packaged in clear plastic bags for the burger vans on the side of the road and small cafes, They put the others in fancy boxes for the up market places, It the same meat produced the same way " There are varying meat content burgers and sausages, they are most certainly not all the same. The cheaper the product, the more filler it has.

"Wtf robbing twats its half that back in wakey ![]() How much would you charge someone for: Buying the egg, bread, butter, coffee, water, milk (sugar). Plus your wage to make, serve and clean (including tax), gas/ electric to cook it. Plus rent for the premises to cook it in, seating if you sat in, insurance to operate, waste charge to get rid of the rubbish and business charge(old fashioned rates). So, what would you be prepared to charge if it was your business? Then again, if it's too much for your piggy bank for someone to cook for you, you could cook it yourself or go without.
