Picking the scabs off your lips before leaning in for a kiss.

What else?

Ps... I don't normally have scabby lips, I've had a cold. Tea appreciated the gesture though

I was thinking about this after Exquisite Deviance did a similar thread.

Then I heard all the words to John Legend's 'All of me'

And it explains 'Love' perfectly.

It's how I feel about D anyway.

Giving me the burnt side of the lasagne because I love it, even though he loves it too

Cutting the fat off my bacon before cooking it

Giving me the extra piece of bacon

When he’s left for work in the morning but I want a cuddle so he comes home (he goes to work early, so he can finish earlier)

Staying on a crappy hospital chair for three days and only leaving my side to go and get more things from home, even though I wasn’t in labour or anything serious

Loaaaaaaads of things

Love is a dangerous thing. It is a catalyst for so many things, good and bad.

It can make you feel happier than you ever have or ever will be. It can also destroy you.

It is great when it is reciprocated. However if it is not, it is torture.

It can be gained and lost from the smallest action to the grandest gesture.

It is as weak as it is strong, as fickle as it is constant.

"Overrated

Absolutely!"

Its not though. There is no better feeling of how your body makes you feel. Sure, its all chemicals and biology doing its thing to make those feelings but it is a natural high that can not be replicated easily, if at all.

All other emotions can be forced to manifest, love can not.

Its a strange and fucked up fucker of a feeling but overrated it definitely is not.

Adding 7 hours onto your journey, to spend 2 hours together.

Hiding a hot water bottle on their side of the bed, because you know they'll get a fuzzy feeling from it.

Just holding each other. No words need to be spoken, you physically can't get any closer but you still want to. You practically want to morph into 1.

Growing together. Working as a team.

Fucking scary

Remaining true to yourself, yet allowing a little bend because you want to, not because you feel you have to.

Being prepared to wipe their arse if they get sick/lose their arms in a freak accident and instead of feeling grossed out by it, ya kind of feel a sense of relief that you'll be grand doing it.

Within reason. You must remember to love yourself too. Loving someone and having their happiness as a main priority has the potential to leave you losing who you are, living only for them and becoming a doormat with no sense of self worth.

Oh I agree with that! It's so important to love yourself too and never lose sense of who you are. But my partner and my daughters happiness are definitely my happiness too and love for me is putting them first but still taking care of me too if that makes sense.
