Seriously how difficult is it these days.

I’m on about 3 different dating sites and draw attention of absolute nutters.

For example I’ve had some women messaging me every day for the past 3 months (I’ve never replied once) telling me how her day is, now she puts love you at the end and is on holiday asking for my address to send a postcard.

Is anyone on her on dating sites? How’s it been for you? Is it just me or is it Ddifficult to meet someone normal’ish?

The first time I ever heard about swinging couples was from a lady who I met on a dating app.

She told me that she was searching for a man to join here and her husband. I just thought she was joking with me at the time lol, but no she was genuine.

But yeah, with the instant nature of chat and messenger, things move incredibly faster and if your not messaging multiple times per day and planning a date within a week or so, you'll burn out as it were.

Bottom line yeah it's hard work.

Believe me, it's not just the women - most male profiles I've come across on dating apps have no info at all, just a photo of them doing a park run and a quote along the lines of 'ask me to find out more'.

Totally puts me off tbh - it just comes across as lazy, instant 'nope'.

A lot of the men's profiles I have seen on a dating site, don't even have a picture of themselves but something else like a pet for example.

Since I put I am not interested in sex on my Cinder profile, men no longer reply to my messages either.

I have tried them it’s hard work a lot of timewasters and liars but there again there are plenty of them on fab too. Indeed many men on fab can also be seen on POF and tinder. I thought that by the law of averages there must be some decent guys but trouble is I seem to always pick the tossers

I was on the site with two O's in its name a few years ago. I actually met two ladies. One turned out to be a gold digger,so that didn't last very long. The other I still keep in touch with & see from time to time & has become a good friend.

I am indeed and I have no problem with that as so are many women, that aren't aware of sites like fab or feel uncomfortable using them. People have a choice to swipe left or right, I think my profile is clear? . You may be surprised at the number of ladies posting "no commitment" nsa" in their profile xx

I’ve had some fun and a few disasters from dating sites over last few years.

One stalker and had to involve the police. Some amazing sex. Loads of ‘chats’ that end up going nowhere as I suspect many just want a pen pal.

If you ‘click’ on a first date then sex is pretty much assured on a second. Trouble is it can all get pretty serious very quickly- I’m talking mid to late 50’s age range. While I like to date and of course enjoy great sex, I’m not looking for an exclusive relationship. Or perhaps I am but just haven’t found ‘the one’.

Anyway, it then gets all rather difficult when they mention the ‘L’ word .

Better sticking to Fab.

I know someone who got rejected after going on a couple of dates, as she didn’t like peppers in her food. He couldn’t cope with that and had a go about it. Most odd. I did tell her, maybe that’s why he’s single still.

My general experience on dating sites is swiping a lot, and only really getting messages from sock accounts trying to get signups to shady "fuck tonight" sites. At best I might get a small conversation out of someone, which ends when they stop replying. I've been told by friends who have come across my profile that nothing seems wrong with what I put. I also accidentally sent a message to someone I knew because their only photo was of their eye, and they said that my message was great, totally respectful and nothing like what guys usually send, and she couldn't understand why I never get any interest

I'm on the dating sites.. And its an absolute nightmare.. There's as much NSA on those as here. At least here you can be open about your sexulity. I have altered my profile on here more to indicate what I'm looking for ie dating... I've been told this is the wrong site for me... But I don't see why? I think you just have to take them all with a sack of salt and if your going to meet someone you will and if not you won't. You can't force it.

My friend's trying online dating & is so disallusioned by it, more like a hook up situation which she doesn't want. There's too much choice so all very disposable when something "more shiny" comes along.

It really is... I just tend to laugh it off now.. But at times its a bit grrrrr hahaha and I don't bother looking at all. I'm lucky that I'm quite happy with my life, but NSA just doesn't do it for me and I would love to just "date", not talking marriage and I think I keep repeating myself on these threads but just someone to go out with and have fun as well as loads of the mind blowing sex. You'd think it was something really unusual the amount of luck I've had

I do go on dates between here and elsewhere but I only like much younger men and many want kids and I don’t. It’s also hard as I love music and gigs, stylish guys, kinky ones and love to swing with a panther. Finding all those things in one guy is proving hard. The ones I like also don’t want to swing in a relationship.

Have found dating site to be a draining experience really. Met a lot of nice people but there’s so many fake profiles and so many people who don’t know what they actually want.

Think it’s harder than ever to meet people nowadays, no matter what it is you are looking for.

Me, I’d be delighted to meet someone for lots of laughs, days and nights out, good conversation and lots of fun too.

I dont think dating sites and the like work like they are meant to anymore. I have no idea how I would go about dating to be honest, it would feel odd not to be stripped naked in a room within the hour; but have to talk over dinner or something

Fab confuses me enough without dating sites. The idea of dating just seems that little bit scary, I might have to string full sentences together, read menus, order wine and talk.

All that multi-tasking, way to complicated
