Loner or social animal?

Be nature, I am a loner and enjoy my own company from quite a young age.

Most of the activities I enjoy I can do on my own.

However, I do enjoy being in the company of other people from time to time at social gatherings.

How about you?

I would say most people are going to put the same thing, its nice to have time to yourself peace and quiet alone with your thoughts, but we are a group animal and need the company of other people to survive,

More of a loner, i like company sometimes though, i would miss not having my hubby around, where as my son doesnt mind living alone, its because if your an only child, you get used to being on your own. I had older brothers and sisters who used to boss me about, and i was glad to get away from them.

Always thought of myself as more of a loner. I enjoy being around people but I do need to be alone and recharge my batteries every so often.

I am very much of a social animal and like being around people most of the time. I do like a little quiet time but having someone around is better.

I love my own space and the ability to do what I want, at my pace, when I want.

I think that comes from living on my own for a long period - it does make you kinda selfish.

Socially, I prefer 1 on 1 or small groups. I interact well at that level.

I don't like big groups of people - I tend to lose myself in the background in those scenario's : they tend to overwhelm me somewhat.

Newcastle and Gateshead

when people ask me to describe myself I came up with the phrase "introverted extrovert" because i do like my space... but again I do love the social side.....

i think it is very much a case of being comfortable in the situations and surrounding and if i can do that I can be as confident as anyone... if i don't think i can be as quiet as anyone.....

A bit of both really, but there are times I wish the whole would piss off for a couple of hours.

love being on my own.

i get very nervous being out in public places/pus and have to keep looking around to ensure i know where eveyone is in relation to myself.

i have a very isolated job too, which i absolutely love, although last night i was on the yard and had to deal with 'people'. hated every minute of t.

not always been that way. used to be very outgoing and couldnt wait to go to a party..

I never ever have a moment alone. Even if I get into the bath for a bit of me time, someone ends up coming in for a poo and a chat, grrr.

But I would still say I was more of a loner, I enjoy the relaxed company of my family more than the chatty company of my friends, but I couldn't do without either. x
