With this I mean to find a partner and to have kids? For me it is not as I like the single life, the freedom and that you can do what you want when you want it

You can still do all that when you are married

I'd rather have that within a loving relationship

I still have the freedom to do what I want and what I like...sounds like you have a very old fashioned view on marriage.

And yes, it’s important to me. I’ve always known what I’ve wanted, my mind has never changed and I’ve never doubted it.

I found a partner and had the kid then got the divorce..for some marriage is not all its cracked up to be. .. do whats best for you but one day you might meet the woman of your dreams and all your best intentions about staying single will go out the window

Never had a desire to have kids.

I knew I didn't want them "ever"

It's made relationships hard. But that's the price I've had to pay.

I have always wanted kids but if it doesn’t happen it’s ok as i have developed a stong bond with Holly’s little girl also i am a big part of my niece and nephews life.

In my opinion it’s all about balance you need time for yourself as well as your family.

I think that makes for a happy and satisfying life.

I enjoy being married and we both have the freedom to do our own thing with the benefit of regular good sex at home

I was married and lost two children and now divorced.

I'm in a new exclusive "datingship" - he has two gorgeous kids (who I haven't met yet of course, but have seen pics) and if it was to develop and become serious, I would be very happy.

I think I joined fab because I was recently separated and the idea of settling was horrendous at that time but now, I would happily settle with one person again (whether it's the new guy or not)

I don't really think about it. I tend to live in the moment and try enjoy it for what it is. I like to just let things happen naturally, if someone came along and swept me off my feet then great, if they don't then great too.

Settling down has never been important to me.

I've had relationships but I never felt settled.

I never wanted children either.

I'm single now and prepared to stay like it - but if someone right came along I would go with the flow.

I naively think of it at times, before I succumb to reality and, realize that it only ever caused me harm.

I’m better off being by myself. I don’t really like changing the rules of marriage neither, so if I were ever to marry, it would be with og rules, which nobody follows anymore.

I have a lovely cat. I have everything else that I need, I accept my lot. I already have children also, thus, have already accomplished life’s purpose according to Darwin.

You can be settled without having a partner or children. It means different things to different people.

I guess you could say I had that life I was married, family life etc but I was soooo unhappy. Now I'm single, I have my son and have built a life for us both... And I'm happy then I ever was.

Although that's not to say for me the cherry on the cake would be to meet someone who I was crazy about and me them but not to settle but to have amazing times with.. Go out.. Go to concerts. weekends away or just the simple things of long walks, talking, laughing and have loads of mad passionate sex... But I do enjoy my freedom now so as time goes on I do wonder if that is possible?!

"You can still do all that when you are married"

That depends on who you marry, so many friends I've seen drop off the face of the earth when they get married, then on the rare occasion you meet up they've got nothing to talk about other than kids and decorating
