Hiding in the shadows

I don't like fizzy drinks, apart from tonic & prosecco

If I'm having a soft drink, Robinsons squash, lemon barley or orange, and a straw. Although I like ice in my drink I can't stand the cubes touching my lips

A bottle of ice cold still mineral water straight from the fridge.

I have had two major operations on my bowel, was in hospital for a month last time recovering. Two weeks I was hooked up to pipes everywhere and had an NG tube and pic line as my digestive system had completely stopped and I was unable to eat or drink anything - eventually I could sip from 25 ml cups taking an hour to finish it - any quicker and I would be sick. All I could think of was wanting to be able to have a 500 ml bottle of ice cold mineral water and drink it straight down in one go.

It is the simple things that give most pleasure!
