I have to put suncream on my face and neck every day, all year round but it still feels a bit unhappy now. Mostly i have stayed out the sun and sat in the shade when outside so my arms, legs etc seem ok at the moment. My hayfever, allergies, asthma, sore throat/cough/earache/cold are all playing up hugely and have done for some time, im not sure if its to do with the weather though.

Manchester (she/her)

I wear at least SPF 30 all year round. Haven't been burned yet.

Apply wet towels run under cold water to burns in the immediate aftermath to remove heat. Resist the urge to apply oils or similar, they might intensify the burn. Look for after sun gels.

Mine is also awful today. I also chose to play a sport in which you stand in a field of freshly mown grass for six hours.

Solarcaine is good for sunburn, but not sure it can be bought over the counter. Immediate relief from the pain.

Being of a fair freckly complection I avoid the Sun where possible and only been burnt twice in my life!

Slap on the cream of you're going out!!

eat plenty of red watermelons or tomato soup.

The red chemical is lycopene and helps with sunburn but it's best to eat it before burning.

Only cheese in toast this afternoon as I’m working in the garden. I’ll overdose on watermelon later. Thanks for the tip
