Face pic etiquette...

Last night (for the 3rd time) another fab member shared my face picture without my knowledge, why on earth would anyone think this is acceptable?!

Surely the ONLY person to take the risk of the recipient actually knowing me is ME?! Has this happened to anyone else?

Obviously I've clearly stated how wrong this is and instantly blocked all forms of communication with the people who have chosen to share my face pic but is there anything else I can do or is it just a down side of fab?

Jill x

Was it someone you showed your pic to? Who did they share it with?

Totally unacceptable, surely that's an unwritten rule of FAB.

Very disrespectful

I'm curious to see this face of yours that everyone wishes they had

There and to the left a bit

If you can prove they did so I'd be inclined to report them - is an awful breach of trus

Yes I have heard of people who share private pictures to other so I have removed all my pics to avoid that

North fife

I'm a little confused by this, how have they and what were there reasons for doing so?

Either way, it is absolutely not acceptable..

That is shocking. Do you set the pic to delete once opened? I know it's not fool proof as they could always screen shot it but it's a start.

How anyone can think it's acceptable to do that is baffling.

"Was it someone you showed your pic to? Who did they share it with? "

The first 2 times were by people I'd had meets with, sharing with other fab users in the hope of us all meeting up together, no discussion of this with me beforehand, I was supposed to be flattered I think.

Last night was by someone I'd had a social with who shared it with one of his fb's, apparently she lives in my village and is not on fab!

No fab proof, messages through kik so no usernames match up

I do, I think I'll remove face pics from the friends file though too now!

I would still report them, but I’m not sure there is much fab can do about it, if it didn’t happen here

Personally I would be furious

I'm fuming! Hence my little rant on here so I should thank you all for listening x

Yes. Which is why I’m not very forthcoming with my face pics. It was someone I trusted too.

I've had that too!! Multiple times, astonishing responses when I ask if the person knows they're sharing their face pics

This is the reason we never put face pics online. Once you've post a picture online you lose control of it.

Our rule of 'no face pics prior to a meet' does severely limit us. However, we believe if somebody is so shallow they won't meet without seeing our faces, then they're not for us anyway....

Report them. I believe it’s not only a violation of etiquette but something against the law. You need to get written consent even if that’s a photo of strangers on the street and definitely something like this here is much deeper violation of your privacy.

Guys, if we won’t respect each other this place will be a swamp.

I did a thread a few weeks ago asking about this. Apparently there are kik groups where people share pics and allsorts of information about site members.

No i agree it’s unacceptable

Only way is to be a site supporter and remove images afrer them reading. (Could take up to 24 hours to remove them may i add)

Or as soon as photos removed delete yourself (lot of hassle imho)

Failing that dont send one until really sure.

But with anything in the world wide net, once uploaded its public

Neither of those work, they can just screenshot it immediately.
