Kate's a great cook, both savoury and sweet. Her cakes are to die for, but we don't overdo it

Kate's a great cook, both savoury and sweet. Her cakes are to die for, but we don't overdo it

im great with most things.. i just cant get the batter to puff up when i make toad in the hole..... need to make it more to perfect it lol

Lol... Take heart... I once raced a long distance home coz my mum was cooking her famous Toad in the Hole.

It wasnt ready when I got in, So we waited... And we waited... After an hour of peeping through the oven door glass to see if it had risen yet... It hadnt... We took it out.

Much swearing ensued, on my mums account, as we stared at shrivelled sausages in dried out scrambled egg...

She'd forgotten to put any flour in the batter...

Beans and mushrooms on toast .... weighed myself yesterday and I'm a stone and a half over my usual body weight so I'm going to diet ...... I can't throw all my lovely dresses out because I've got too fat for them.
