I don't mind that much being called pet names but only by people I know.

I hate getting emails with hi sexy, hun, baby... yikes

I don't mind being called pet by a friend but not by a lover.

Just call me by my name. It's a pretty one

Babe or any derivative off ie Babes, just reminds me of my daughter aged 25 and her boyfriend calling each other even when they were 'having words' just seems to be more suitable for their age group than mine. And I find it incredibly over familiar when its used by someone I haven't met, I just hate the term over all

"Babe, honey, sexy, hony, hun, pet,. I hate that hun one , lol "

If you hate pet dont come to the north east, everyone, male or female gets it

Context bothers me, not any particular word. For example Sir calls me slut, kev a dirty bitch, both as praise...sweetie hun, babs ducks ect are terms of endearment for some...which is nice. When a word is used to patronize or demean then i dont like it.
