"I walk. Right now that's all my body can take. I had an accident last September which took a heavier toll on my body than originally expected and much of my flexibility in my back and right leg was compromised. I had 4 months of physio afterwards. I piled on weight due to limited activity and it's become a catch 22... I need to exercise to reduce my weight, but the added weight puts more of a strain on my weakened muscles and joints and makes exercising more difficult. So I walk. Some days I can only manage 500 yards before something gives, some days I can manage 5 miles. But any day I can move at all is a good one " I had an illness in my early 20s which I had to recover from quite literally step by step. Hugs and empathy. | |||

"Ms H does around 2 or 3 classes as day, plus weights & exercises at home as well. Went from a size 12 to 6 in less than two years. Mr S does badminton & swimming and has started doing weight training again. Aside from feeling healthier, I need the stamina to keep up with her " Congrats to Ms H. Sounds like you have a challenge Mr S! Badminton is fun and certainly keeps you on your toes Swimming/dancing will also increase your stamina. Gym wise when you do weight training go for higher reps 10-12 will also help boost your stamina. For those that have mentioned injuries... absolutely different forms of exercise can promote healing if done right. Make you feel better, look good and stronger with tone/definition | |||

Mr and Mrs ABC !! I came so close in fabbing your football. Damn it I knew I should not have zoomed in. Phew! That was a close one A strong core is vital for boosting overall strength. Encouragement/motivation now that is something that can literally stop someone from keeping the routine and doing regular exercise if they don't have it. I will share how I do that because as a single doing it alone can be tough. Right, need to log off because I heard the rumours... they say once you "finger" you can't stop!! Yikes!! Also keen to focus on the old 'legs, bums and tums, region to lose weight so if anyone has a workout plan or similar they can recommend for that I'd appreciate it!" I've had my weights tailored to me, but find a reputable site and look for a full body resistance workout to start. Leg/ lower body weights will really help your legs and butt. | |||
