There’s lots of humour used on the forum: subtle irony, sarcasm, self-deprecating, slapstick, bodily, crude, innuendo, word-play, puns, spoonerisms (intentional and unintentional), dark, surreal, improvisational, observational and topical

It’s frequently said that it’s hard to convey humour online and often people feel others don’t get their sense of humour or vice Vera

Which ones do you like most?

Use most often?

Which don’t you like?

Which do you find hardest to understand?

I’ll comment a bit later.....

Seen in far off places

It would seem my posts are often misconstrued due the ironic and subtle nature of the humour applied.

I do believe some have even perceived me to be stuck up, superficial, and arrogant because of this? - yet, I'm really just a genuine, nice chap ...honest!

Anyhow, I shan't cry into my Fortnum & Mason hamper of delights and Veuve Clicquot bubbles...

Irony is the least understood I find and hardest to spot sometimes, particularly if it’s played in a deadpan way

I love lots of types of humour. Probably erring away from toilet humour but I like word play, sarcasm, quick retorts and observational the most.

I'm particularly funny (and that's not a woe is me comment), I just have a particular voice that means people think I'm either mildly amusing or a pretentious twat.

I like gentle teasing - where you can tell people aren't taking the forum too seriously and enjoying it for what it is and they feel comfortable with the other.
