"Don't know how you are socially. I've genrally found it difficult. But I've travelled a fair bit on my own and found the best thing is just to socialise with strangers. Even if it hard and/or scary just push yourself. Even if language is a barrier. You'll find you meet some intresting people and open up new oppertunity that will help make your holiday memorable. Don't just sit in the corner quietly and keep your self to your self. " That last line John. That's exactly what I think I would do. I'm an introverted extrovert. | |||

In the past year I've gone to Thailand on my own 3 times. Just got back in the past couple of weeks, 18 days there. Spent 21 days over Christmas and New Year and spent 11 days last May. Excellent. I wish I could do that "I felt exactly like this on my first solo trip a few years ago. I stayed in a hostel in Florence (in a private room with ensuite). I ended up meeting some lovely people...of all ages, from different parts of the world. I was free to go off and do my own thing and then meet up with them in the evening for dinner and drinks. It was the best thing I ever did and now I travel as much as I can (money and time permitting) ... as I have a huge travel bucket-list to get through. As soon as you do your first trip OP, you will have wanderlust forever | |||
