Get to a different pub, talk to someone and try and breakout of the pattern that ‘life’s terrible’. The more insular you are, the worse you’ll feel.

Sorry you've had a let down today, it is very common, as others have said, so try not to get to depressed by it, it's not you. Maybe just go for a walk, get something to eat, rather than sitting in a hotel room

I get them every week with my job. I actually love it. I could have gone on a bender with the other crew tonight, crawling in at 6am but I wanted the rest as have a busy weekend back in London. It’s nice to have alone time sometimes.

I'm so greatful that i love being on my own with my own thoughts.

So i can't really relate to the OP as if i was hotel on my own id be buzzing and id go and use the hotel gym or pool (if it has one) then id go soak in the bath then order tons of food from room service and watch a movie. (If its a premier inn though with no facility's) id order a take away from somwhere near by.

If you was promised a meet tonight and they have backed out,dont let it get you down.

Put up a status or a meet today thing and you never know the night is young still.

Cingers crossed your friend comes over after the club but that means you waiting up till late and potentially being left dissapointed further if they don't come.

Cheer up buddy, be happy.

As others have said steer clear of alcohol thats only gonna make you feel more down.
