Anniversaries?

I noticed a little post relating to the amount of time it's been since the Falklands war the other day? Does anyone remember its been 47 years since the last moon landing! We don't seem to have progressed as much in those years as the previous 47? Any thoughts? I do mean adventures not Facebook etc??? There's no excitement or exploration anymore? Are we settling for less than we can?
