I have a scar in the middle of my head. I was playing piggy in the middle with my friends and my friend (who was in the middle) was so determined to catch the ball, she pushed me into her dads motorbike and a screw bashed my head.

My dad had just bought me my first Celtic strip and warned me not to get it messy - I cried when I realised I was bleeding

I also have a scar on my left knee which looks like an eyeball. I fell at a big Park/outdoor centre place when I was two

the itsybitsy one you can just about make out in on the side of my chest looks pretty cool.. Got it carrying make-shift market stalls setting up as part of the Blackwatch pre-Bosnia training team. Have to admit picking at it. Bottom of 6ft metal spike slid across my chest as the other guy let it spin out of his hand. Lucky not to hit my head or go deeper.

Have a juicy one on my ankle from a moped accident.

Not sure if one on my face is still visible, but I can see it.

I’ve got a nasty one on my back from a car crash I had to be cut free from by the fire services.

Another big one we’re I had to have the end of my collar bone removed as a result of an old rugby injury.

On my left leg, a few long ones from the stitching after my knee surgery, and 4 smaller going from my hip down towards my ankle from Igor the Brute. It was my ex fix frame that was attached to my leg to get the swelling down, before the surgeons could fix the jigsaw puzzle that my knee was after I slipped on wet bathroom floor.

Take your pic. have a scar in my stomach and back of my hear (both stab wounds when I was attacked in my early 20s), a scar on my shin and the palm of my hand (both caused at secondary school, both in the same place on different times, the nurses in hospital even remembered me from the 1st time) a small scar on my upper lip where I was bitten in a fight in my late 30s and various arm scars from my years of working as a scrap ma.

I've only really got one that's noticeable and it was falling over on the attic car park on the way in. I had white stockings on as it was uniform themed night. I bled through them. Asked for a plaster, within seconds it was saturated so I asked for steri strips, there was none so I fashioned some out of strips of elastoplast - which I'm allergic to. Staff said I should go to minor injuries but I was with friends and enjoying the night. In the end I had temporary steristrips about 4 plasters and a bandage. Not sure if my allergy or the deep cut caused more of the scarring. But almost a year on and its very noticeable

Scars on my face from where I was mauled by a dog as a young child. It was a bad attack and only thanks to the amazing doctors who treated me that day and the treatment they decided on, possibly due to my age at the time, most of them scars have faded over the years, some have gone altogether. Don’t bother me, never did!

I have very few. Only a chicken pox scar on the bridge of my nose (which is mainly faded now), TB jab on my left arm which is about sixteen years old, and a scar on the nape of my neck under my hairline from when I cut my head open when I was about three.

On a mooch

First down the outside of my thigh, about 4-5 inches long. Got it when I was 3 by my mum passing me over a fence to the neighbour’s garden. She thought it was me just being awkward not wanting to go but my leg was caught on the fashioned diamond fence and so it dug in and dragged. We still laugh about it now and all was forgiven and forgotten in minutes.

The second is in the middle of my forehead, again I was 3, I was using a go-cart to climb onto a metal bar, so I could climb on to a wall and jump off it. I had been doing this for about an hour when the go-cart decided to move and I went crashing into the side of the wall.

My knee and shin...

I had to have a bone graft to fuse my patella after it had split, so they took two slivers of bone from my shin, and used them to bridge the pieces of my kneecap.

It's worked a treat, and I'm back to running marathons again

Or there's the one on my other skin from a fall during skiing, where the metal edge of my ski dropped like an axe

Or my hip, when I pancaked my bike and the duvet on my jeans gouged a big chunk out.

Finally my shoulder when I went over the handlebars of my bike at 40 mph

Just below the first join on big toe. As a young teen I was playing a game called "strech" with a group of others where a knife (serrated egded dinner knife) was thrown and a person had to stretch a leg to where it landed. This stretched person then took the knife and threw it for someone else. I received a glancing blow from the knife and taken to hospital. The cut would not stop bleeding. It did not need stiches as the wound was "frozen" with a cold spray of some sort. The like of which I've never seen again.

I’ve got lots all over me, some from when I worked as a welder. But I suppose it’s the horseshoe shaped one on my right knee I got sliding down a hill when I was younger. Did it a few days before I went on holiday and pleased my parents no end x

On my eyebrow when I ran into a coffee table when I was a nipper. I remember the stitches being taken out, only a glimpse of a memory but it's there.

I like scars and wounds, to me they show a story and I’m intrigued

My most interesting scar is on my leg it's from a bullet where I was shot thinking back it could have been suzuki trying to slow me down so she could catch me

I have a series of scars across my right hand fingers from falling off a ladder at work. To break my fall I held onto some shelving, the kind which is made up of drilled angle iron. I took an inch strip of skin from my ring finger, cut my middle finger to the tendons, and my index finger and pinky just got superficial lacerations.

Midlothian

My BCG vax left a soft, bumped-up scar on my arm.

I have some scar tissue in my vagina.

My upper arms have faint lines of self-harm scars from years ago.

I have a smattering of very small scars across my shoulders from chickenpox, I used to have a tiny dented one on the bridge of my nose too but over time it has disappeared.

None of them are particularly interesting, the BCG is probably the most noticeable.
