I’ve noticed a couple of times in the forum that I’ve seen someone’s little avatar profile pic, liked what I saw, so thought I’d take a closer look only at their profile only to get the “blocked or suspended message”. These are people that, as far as I’m aware, I’ve had no previous interaction with.

Do you think people see your forum posts, disagree with them and block on you on spec, or could they actually be suspended by admin?

Has anyone else noticed it or is it just me?

Just checked yours ... phew! No it's fairly common, they just don't want to communicate with you directly. Simples ...

I block people from forum posts. If they say something that I disagree with I block and make a note so I won't bother them or they bother me in the future

People may block you simply because they've seen your profile before and have no interest in meeting you. It's nothing personal, you're just not their type.

Definitely not worried. Just curious.

I block loads of people local to me for no reason other than so they don’t show up in my local searches, but just thought it odd seeing it in the forum. After all, they can still see your posts!

It happens to me on a regular basis, most I have no idea who they are. I’m guessing they either find me annoying, they don’t get my sense of humour, or in the case of single blokes it’s probably jealously, (can’t blame them, I’d be jealous of me) I just counterblock and move on.

Still not what I’m asking. This is purely based on the forum. They could be at the other end of the Earth, so nothing to do with meeting.

This happens quite often Op and don't let it affect you. I personally don't do this and have only (rarely) used the block button when someone was particularly nasty. Everyone's different. Don't dwell on it and have fun

If I do a search and stumble on a profile that offers something that I'm not looking for I just block them there and then. That way I know I've already deemed them unsuitable for me.

They just don't want any direct communication with you so have cut off that option!

Can I just point out again, that it doesn’t bother me. I’m not delicate. This was just a question to gauge if it happens to others and if it is actually people blocking you or if the other person is suspended.

It’s also just about the forum. Not searches. If people blocked you, they’d not show up in a search so you’d never even know.

Yes... it makes me neither sad or happy. It literally just made me curious enough to ask a question. Why is that so hard to understand?

Sometimes I block folk based on bitchy or discriminatory forum behaviour, but if I haven't had any interaction with someone the most likely reasons I've blocked someone is because I know them outside of Fab and don't want to engage with them here (not because I dislike them, but because I prefer to keep things separate), or, if they're local and tend to fill my local updates with whinging status updates or photos that make me want to reach for the bleach, I'll block them just so I don't see their content in updates anymore.

I get blocked too, and I'm sure folk have their reasons. Doesn't bother me though

They may not have blocked you, their account maybe suspended. The same message comes up irrespectful of whether the account is suspended, you have blocked them or they have blocked you. Try and send them a message. The next warning will say if they have blocked you/you blocked them. If it doesn't it's a suspended account. These aren't removed, just stay there indefinitely.

Yes it happens to a lot of us, so it is probably a block rather than a suspension. It could be something you've said on the forum or they have looked at your profile, from the forum and decided to block, for their own reasons

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it because I haven't read the whole thread, but......

Since having a couples account my eyes have been opened up to a whole new world of creepiness. We have ppl who view us repeatedly several times each day without ever messaging or interacting and tbh neither of us like the thought I'd a random penis pic or penetration shot wanking over us so we occasionally to block these ppl. I was taking to Saff yesterday and we'd just noticed the same old bareback seeking creepy penis profile viewing us on his third account in as many weeks after we'd already blocked him twice. I think if someone blocks you it's their choice, we've had ppl block us, usually ppl we know from the forums, but it doesn't bother us, a block is just what it says on the tin "blocked - you can't see the profile, or message, but you can see what the site allows, see them in the forums and post on any thread you like, subject to any forum bans".

Ppl are odd irl, but even odder in here because its mostly just words and egos....

I'm not saying you're being blocked for any of the above OP, but everyone will have their own reason.....

This is one of the reasons I have men blocked in my message filters. Obviously I don’t want to meet men, but it means they don’t show up in the ‘who’s viewed me’ bit. It’s bizarre how many times someone will view you in a day and every day! It’s one of the tell tales of a fake couples account that they’ll view you ten times a day without messaging. You look at their profile and there’s no pics or verifications etc.
