Yes

It was an attempt to run away from a truth

In the end, logic won out

I faced up to it and have never looked back

Yes. I struggle with suicidal ideation. It’s normally a low hum and totally manageable (but usually there). Sometimes it’s noisy.

Don’t be afraid to talk about it. That way demons lie.

It’s crossed my mind on a few occasions but thankfully didn’t stay long. Best thing to do is speak to someone and seek any help you may need.

Yes, at times... I always thought about how much it would hurt my mother for me to do something like that... stopped me every time.

Yes! Often, and although I don't suffer depression, or have anxiety but if it wasn't for my kids it is doubtful I would be here, if it were not for them I serve no purpose

And I'm ok with that, not saying that for attention, or for sympathy. It is what is is.

Thankfully I don't think it's in my DNA. I've dealt with some proper nasty shit that would make some ppl want out on life but I've always felt a drive to get through it, maybe it's to do with being a single parent and having someone who relies on me and who I can't let down? I don't think it's a strength, I'm a week, impatient, distracted idiot quite often, just I don't think ending things is something I could ever think of, life's too precious for me and seeing the shit and loss that comes from death crystallises that even more for me......

X

I know that feeling too. It's how I am living right now.

Sending hugs as that is one of the hardest things to cope with when you know your child is suffering and you think you cannot help them.

You will be helping him though as you are there for him and it will be a comfort to him although he may not be able to show it.

I hope he finds the strength to access supports local to you as there are so many groups trying to raise awareness of mental health issues especially for males just now xx

Yes, sometimes life deals you a shit hand. I had what was described as an 'existential event'. I didn't see it coming and it scared the crap out of me. I'm now on a mission to make it better for the next person. If your in a bad place talk to someone. My filters are always off.
