Why do people go into a cinema screen half an hour early for the film that's on later despite the fact there is another film on that hasn't finished yet?

The cinema I work at has an allocated seating system so I don't understand why they should enter a screen early when their seats are already reserved for them.

Plus what happens if they enter a cinema for a family movie and they notice the movie that's still on is a horror movie.

Surely other people would be sitting in those seats? If you work there you tell us why people are allowed to do this? Ask your boss?

Back in the day, when I was a kid, you used to be able to stay and watch the film again. That was when you used to get a supporting film on before the main one started and not three hours of adverts like it seems to be now.

We have to queue at ours til the previous film is over......then they send in the cleaners in.....is it a small cinema OP rather than a bigger well known one?

It's not that they are allowed. It's just I think they lack the common sense to just wait outside like anyone else would in any cinema.

It's a Vue cinema I work at.

You can only pre book seats for 1 film

At where I work, seats can be booked for any film in any screen.

It sounds like staff aren't doing their job then if people are just able to do this.

They want to see the end before the start so that they understand what is happening and don't sit there asking what is going on and what is going to happen next, maybe more people should do it??

Most of the staff are usually cleaning and or serving on tills and there aren't enough to cover gates.
