Some big match on in Southampton near me apparently?

Love it, hate it, play it or only sleep with cricketers?

Let's hear it...

I (Luke) have never quite seen the point of watching sport. I get certain aspects of playing, but watching baffles me. The people you watch have almost no connection with you and almost certainly don't know you exist, yet you hope one side can kick/hit a ball farther/faster/more accurately than the other and you get all excited about it. Why?

It's a bit like getting excited about the royals or celebrities. I have other things to be getting on with.

I remember Claire Balding did a chat show. Two rowers came on. Boring as fuck. How people find Question of Sport funny, I don't know .
