So just a general question, if you won the lottery would you give up working completely.

For the record I Jez would give up paid work and volunteer for a charity working with animals.

Yes, I would just leave. Give friends lots of money then leave the UK for a month and decide what my next move will be.

If it was enough to survive without working then hell yes! I’d keep my business though and just get someone else to run it.

I won £10 on a scratchcard ... still working I would not give up work completely, but I might buy the company so I can decide when I want to work

I can remember when winning a million on the lottery was life changing. These days it won't even buy a house.

If it was a ridiculous amount I would quit and fill my time with charity work, if it was enough to pay off the mortgage and I could retire I would still want to work.

I think I would keep doing my second job for a while as I enjoy it, but my Monday to Friday job? Not a bloody chance! I'd take great pleasure resigning on the spot.

With a good size win, yes I would.

I like where I work but there's other things that I would rather be doing.

You could still live as you do now but never have to work again though if you didn't go crazy with it

I used to think if I won over a 100 million I’d give this t away. Since being to Dubai and staying with friends who work for the Sheik I think fuck it it’s a pittance

Depends though. That would barely pay some mortgages off around here. And even on 50 grand a year that would only last 20 years to live the same as you do now. If I was 70 it would but I’d need more than that to give up work now.

No way! But I’d move my business from the way I make a living to helping others. The homeless, veterans and underprivileged kids/kids in the care system would be my three top priorities

I (Luke) certainty wouldn't do my paid job any more. I'd probably play the piano most of the day instead. Hannah would probably continue with her job because she loves it, and I don't blame her.

I'd have to give up working because of the heart attack. Winning when I've never bought a ticket would be a helluva shock.

I didn't win the lottery but came in to a life-changing amount of money and assets left solely to me after my grandparents passed away. I haven't allowed it to change me and still work but I work for myself ...

I get up when I want go to sleep when I want and don't want for anything. The only thing having money truthfully does is save you time spent trying to earning it.

On paper I don't need to work again but I choose to work to set an example for my children. My work ethic had to remain strong for my kids to show then you work hard for what you have got.

Money just makes the journey a little sweeter. Once you have bought one expensive watch and an expensive car it's becomes booring

I know just what this is. Not had a holiday of more than 3 days in over 35 years and got struck down 2 years ago and not worked a day since. The time offa's nice but now I'm to weak to enjoy it....

That's why I'd stay up north in't wildlands much cheaper up here and I dare say nicer. I've been playing that new game on the lottery called "set for life" where the jackpot is £10,000 a month for 30 years. I couldn't go crazy on that but could certainly live a comfortable enough life and indulge my hobbies and interests rather than grinding away at work, and still put enough away for a decent pension.
