I've added it to rice, stews and here and there. Never seems to add any real additional flavour? King of spices, I beg to differ!

More expensive than gold per gram

I always soak mine in a small amount of warm water and add the water with the saffron.

Same as any spice the older it is the less “punch” it has and I guess there’s different quality grades

My bayleaf is it does add a bit of heat, but you new this comment was cumin.
