" "If milk is poured into hot tea, individual drops separate from the bulk of the milk, and come into contact with the high temperatures of the tea for enough time for significant denaturation - degradation - to occur. This is much less likely to happen if hot water is added to the milk." - Dr Andrew Stapley " this

"Actually on that note ... does anybody agree with me that tea (and filtered coffee) tatse 100% better if served in china mugs? Honestly Im not a snob but I find that they do... " China cups retain heat longer than normal clay-fired ones, thus keeping the tea/coffee hotter for longer, which in turns keeps it brewing while you're drinking it.

"never said how i do it.i put milk in second ,reason being i can get the strenth just right.if i had put milk in first and it was 2 milky, have 2 tip it away." Test the strength of the tea by pouring a bit into the sink. Then all you have to do is not put too much milk in your cup. ( Hate disagreeing with Oscar Wilde on this one, btw )

"It tastes all wrong if you add the milk first.. Tea that is.. I dont drink coffee so cant tell you about that. In all honesty tea I often drink without milk. but if making it with.. I boil the kettle... put the water in either the cup or teapot and leave the tea to brew for at least 5 mins. Then I take the teabag out if its in the cup.. or stir if in the teapot.. then add any sugar.. then add milk if required.. To be honest if drinking any old tea you may not notice the taste difference.. but with nice proper teas.. you really will. also I can not stand tea that looks like you dipped the teabag in the milk. cali "
