It’s not hard at all. We are inundated with cheesy poorly written messages, that clearly show someone didn’t read our profile.

However people who show they have get a reply, even if it’s no thanks.

Well all we do have limits to our social interactions. Take Facebook for instance, how many people from peoples "friends" do they actually interact with on even a semi-regular basis? It's a small fraction of the total I assure you as we just aren't equipped to deal with so many interactions.
