An everyday occurrence. Even when I'm not by myself I still feel lonely.

When you don’t have someone to talk to when sad or when you start talking to yourself

Having no, or perceiving a lack of, meaningful relationships at all would be how i would view someone whom was lonely.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt lonely to be honest. Or bored for that matter! I’d quite like to be bored for a bit

Feeling like you aren't understood.

Realising that if the person who you dedicate your everything to was to disappear one day, you'd feel like you had nothing, or you'd want nothing

Being in the same room as either 100 people or 1 person, but feeling alone and quite afraid.

Got stuck at a train station not long back the connecting train got cancelled. I suddenly realised I had no one to call to pick me up, divorce does that as I had to move for work and start afresh, on my own in a new town.

I'm quite a positive person and enjoy solitude so it doesn't get me down, but I do miss certain human interaction.

I lived alone and homeless recently for two years, but I had mother nature so I love being social with those I love or being alone but not lonely amongst nature cos theres always something going on... I ve always worked alone, long hours... Mind you when I do get to chat, look out cos I can chat for Europe let alone England.

Lonely is a place where tears run dry because there’s no one around to switch on the light, to see them and wipe them from your face.
