I turned down sex with a gorgeous lady, because she told me she was searching for a regular fwb and she had been messed around a lot.

I couldn't be a regular for her, so rather than mess her around again I just declined.

In one hotel In the past where I'd only been working for 6 months, a Conference organiser arrived from the USA & I was his liaison manager for the 2 wks it took to set up the whole event including an Exhibition and nearly 20,000 visitors over 3 days.

On the week long breakdown of the event, he offered me a role as Liaison officer with his company, to act as a Welcome go-between for the many Brits they took on each year.

He offered 10 times my UK salary, company flat in LA, Chauffeured car at my disposal 7 days a week, plus all medical and dental plans going and 3 return flights home each year.

I turned him down, as I was with a company with which I could go far in my career.

The day he left, he repeated his offer but upped the salary to the equivalent of £100k p.a., 5 return flights a year, every other benefit as before plus holiday penthouse in Hawaii.

I still declined his offer for the same reason. He said he was booked to do the same event the next year and would make me another offer. Six months later, I heard he'd been killed in an accident in the USA.

The hotel company I was working for ended up being my best employer ever, with over 6.5 yrs with them & I learnt a lot.

I reckon, even now, I made the correct choice.
