Which Medusa from Clash Of The Titans do you think was better? The Medusa from 1981 or the Medusa from 2010?

I'd have to go with the 1981 Medusa as she had stealth, sharp aim with her bow and arrow, a deadly gaze and was also downright terrifying.

Yep. It sure is a classic movie. Ray Harryhausen sure knew how to bring his creatures to life one last time before retiring.

The acting is hammy as hell but the special effects are brill. The skeleton army are still scary even now !

I agree. Talos used to scare me as a kid. It was just the way he looks down at the camera with his black empty eyes which creeper me out.

Always loved the harpies though lol

"New medusa but old clash so il combo"

I think what put me off about the Medusa from 2010 was that she looked too sexy which isn't what Medusa is supposed to look like.

Ayr

Have to go with 1981 Medusa. Obviously, I agree with Jason and the Argonauts being great.

I'd like to add another of Ray Harryhausen's works - The Valley Of Gwangi.

Cowboys capturing a dinosaur, that escapes and fights a circus elephant, then winds up dying when a burning church collapses on it.

Great for kids.

This!

The 1981 Medusa was badass. I saw Clash of the Titans at the pictures when I was 9. For a PG film it's scary as fuck. The Stygian Witches put the shits up me big time.

I agree. The 1981 Medusa used to scare the hell out of me as a kid as I can still remember leaving the room whenever she was on screen until she was decapitated.

As I got older, I grew to love the character as I liked how scary she was. Out of all the Harryhausen creatures, Medusa is by far the scariest of them all.

I'll go with the original Medusa from Greek mythology as I don't know the others

I mean, ray harryhausen. I think that is as far as you need to go on the argument. Sure the CGI will look better in comparison now, but for the time, he was still the top of his game for stop animation. And his influence in fact helped propel the idea of CGI in film
