Just saw a comment on another thread about this and made me think. If you could go back 20/30 years would you totally change things and if so what or are you happy with the way your life has turned out?

No, even though horrible, even traumatic things have happened and mistakes have been made....I truly believe every single thing shapes us into the people we are right now and gives us the people we really need.

I think with hindsight you’d not make some choices, however it doesn’t mean your life would have been any better than the path it took

Yep. I would have made a few different choices. I would have unpicked my conditioning much earlier and experienced many more things earlier. I wouldn’t have smoked and would have followed my passions rather than what my Mum and Dad instilled in me would be a good path.

Possibly, I don't know

I do think if people are meant to cross paths they will one way or another, so I guess I'm happy with the way things are despite the shit I've been through with my ex.

I don’t think I would. I’ve been lucky to have a very happy life. The only thing I’d change would be the age gap between my children. I’d definitely have the second one earlier.

No. Knowing my luck I'd unwrite stuff that I cherish. From time to time life has sucked, I've made wrong decisions and people have been shitty to me, but inbetween, I've made some great memories and why would I want to erase those?

I guess if push comes to shove, I would probably want my eldest to have been healthy...

We have been through some very tough times over the past 22 years but those things didn't kill us. They made us who we are. So no we wouldn't change a thing, because we're here today living our best life and that's what matters. To us anyway

With one exception I’d keep my life exactly as it is, the good, the bad and the ugly parts.

I’d give just about anything if I could wind the clock back and alter my grandsons genes, so he would be able to cope with life better than he can. I’d never risk going back if there was a chance he wouldn’t be in my life though

Yes I’d change loads. Mostly giving up my studies and future independence in return for a man whom I thought I trusted and had children with and became a homemaker, only 14 years later we split up and I’m left without anything and left high and dry, and he carry’s on to become wealthy. Big mistake.

There and to the left a bit

I always struggle with this one - there's one thing I would change that has been a lifelong regret since I made that decision at 17 and it would probably have meant my life panned put completely differently and possibly better for it *BUT* there are too many things that are part of this life strand I have that are too precious to make a conscious decision to turn my back on - so on balance I probably wouldn't make that change, but there is a very big part of me that would be tempted still.

Actually to add to my last who knows what scripts remain to be written? They could form the best part of your life to come and you may miss out on them for the sake of a change that you actually don't know the outcome of.

That’s sad. Those kind of things we’d all like to change. . One of my best friends went to the doctors at age 26 twice and saw 2 different doctors as she knew her breasts weren’t right and they were also leaking. Was told twice it was because she’d not long had a baby. By 27 she was dead leaving 2 young children. Since then if i think it’s something serious I never take one opinion. So I’d change that
