Great Wyrley

This week I’ve discovered welsh cakes for the first time!

Yes yes I know I’ve probably been missing out.

But, here’s the thing.

Taking a bite and chewing there’s a bit of fruity taste as there’s fruit in them but really the taste is a bit meh.

Then it’s the aftertaste that hits you, a sweet doughy cakey heavy taste that makes you want another bite just to confirm if it’s nice or not.

Anyone else think the same?

Corned beef pie and most other Welsh food has the same affect on me tbh. Food for rainy days. Not hot in vegetables as a nation.....

Yes I bought some in M and S and want impressed with them cold, ime a poor cousin of the Eccles came, then someone told me they're better warm .
