I've been trying to change my profile text today.. But I can't think of anything else to add to it

However it's got me thinking who has the best profile text on fab?

Is there something you look out for in text or do you not even bother to read them and just judge people by the pictures?

I always read the profile but it shouldn’t be an essay. Something funny or downright silly that makes me smile will get a message.

Always look for a feeling that they have made an effort with the text. Articulate, funny and with clear information does it for us

Profile text that is positive, states what you're like and are looking for and isn't too long or short is ideal.

It should make for an enjoyable read and not be ranty

I thought my profile text from a while back was good but then I would!

It's not always easy to write stuff about yourself in an articulate fashion, when I did my first one I just kept adding little bits to it over time until I was fairly pleased.

I found that thinking about my angle of approach was a better way of creating what I wanted, I've had a few over the years, one based on song lyrics, one on the quantum leap opening, another on back street boys. Ultimately you're trying to express yourself so something that amuses you will be most effective in making connections with those you want to meet.

I get the occasional compliment for mine but usually they’re too far away to lead to anything - I have my doubts that people local to me even bother reading it anyway lol.

Just be true to yourself and remember that you can’t attract everyone.

Someone nicked mine a few years ago (different site - much smaller) - then came in the chat room.

I was like "hey dude - great profile - did you write it yourself? can take a look at mine and give me some tips?"
