My head is in a bit of a state and has been all weekend....my coping mechanisms aren't helping and nothing is proving to be a good distraction.

Anyone else been in the same situation and what helped??

It usually helps to talk to someone you trust although I know you guys tend to bury your heads in the sand, but if you can chat, then do x

An ex has been in touch, asked me why I didn't come and help her when she was in a really bad situation. I never received a call saying she was in a bad way, if I had I would have helped....she's adamant I was contacted and I can 100% guarantee I wasn't.

If someone needed my help I would help regardless of any history and I'm struggling to deal with it in my thoughts

Sounds like she's fucking with your head on purpose. Try not to worry about it.

Maybe find out how she supposedly contacted you asking for help.

If you were a bad person it wouldn't bother you. So you're clearly a good person. Take that as the positive. X

It was a hospital that tried to contact me but on the day she says they tried, I only had 2 calls, No missed calls and no voice mails left.

I can't see the staff lying and I know I didn't have any calls about her.

Don't know anything else about what happened or why contact me but it's playing on my mind and can't get it out of my head.

Don’t be hard on yourself, remember she was an ex, so other people could help her, not just you. Plus a hospital would ensure someone had support and could cope at home. It’s not down to you. Can you try to distract your thoughts in some way? What usually helps?

Yes she is an ex and that raises questions about why contact me because she does have others who would have been able to help.

Usually going for a drive, a walk, putting a film or box set on usually provides a good distraction, don't seem to be working plus I've got my kids this weekend which restricts what I can do for a distraction aswell

Chances are they didn’t try to contact you and she’s just trying to grab your attention and manipulate you somehow. She probably wasn’t even in hospital.
