"I’d rather they live in a world where falling in love with someone , regardless of sex etc , was natural Maybe we need to start making children aware that heterosexual people can fall in love - it’s ok !!! Boils my piss My daughter has never known anything else ... she played with polly pockets and had female weddings because it was never suggested that it was anything apart from normal. " It is natural

"Were taught that some people fall in love with members of their own sex. Or, that a giant sky pixie will decide whether or not they've been good enough to go to paradise/heaven or hell when they die?" The two aren’t mutually exclusive. Or is this another cheap shot at religion?

"I’d like all subjects to be taught, to help people to accept everyone be it acceptance of people’s sexuality or acceptance of their religious faith or atheism." This..

"Were taught that some people fall in love with members of their own sex. Or, that a giant sky pixie will decide whether or not they've been good enough to go to paradise/heaven or hell when they die?" Neither. Keep it academic and sexual beliefs and faith should be taught at home

"I don't think anything needs to be taught with regards to relationships - it should come naturally. My son taught me you don't need to come out as straight, gay or bi. He's now 18 and doesn't feel the need to tell anyone his sexuality other than those who need to know (meaning anyone he may choose to date) " You said what I wanted to say much much better

Neither, I would rather they were allowed to deal with complex issues when they were mentally mature enough to work it out for themselves. It's not an either/or that I would subscribe to.

" Neither. Keep it academic and sexual beliefs and faith should be taught at home" I honestly think a school that only focused on academic elements would be a terrible place. I think faiths should be taught in school - understanding breeds tolerance. Sexual orientation isn't a belief it's real. I try so hard to never make any assumptions about my kids sexuality.

" Neither. Keep it academic and sexual beliefs and faith should be taught at home" The homophobic protests by parents in Birmingham provide compelling evidence as to why that should NOT be the case. In a school, they will be educated in the facts. In their home, they will be indoctrinated with poison and prejudice.

"Having spent the weekend with my daughter at Pride (she marched with the local LGBT church) I’m pretty sure she got this. We gonna march tomorrow in Manchester? " We will do similar with our daughter later in the year at Brighton. She was also in the cathedral this morning for a service. I just don’t see why the two can’t live together. Rev Richard Coles would agree too.

We don't have a gay cup of coffee. We don't have a gay ride on a train. So why do people still talk about gay marriage? Rather than just marriage? Equality will come the day people no longer feel the need to label to a minority.
