Ive read that people have been ghosted a fair bit, but call me Mr naive what does that mean?

I replied to a couple and have been messaging, things seemed to be going well. Even was asked for a social meet which i thought went well. Messages continued after for a few days, then allbof a sudden nothing. Nothing being sent or read. Have i had my 1st experience of ghosting?

It seems so...but yes ghosting is where they literally become a ghost and disappear. Not a great trait for anyone to have in my opinion.

There is a support team on the support forums if you want to talk to someone about it.

I would say no. Ghosting to me, is when you are actually meeting in person... not in a random social/meet capacity, but more of a dating/relationship or even an fwb type dynamic and then they go quiet. Losing interest on fab, when you are just at the messaging/social stage, would not be regarded as ghosted in my opinion. Feelings need to be involved.

Yes it was first time being ghosted. Only had a few meets since joining. I was gutted because they were just what i was looking for.

But i wont lose sleep over it. Just wish that people would be more honest. I can take rejection as i maybe not everyones cup of tea, just dont like being taken for a mug

I agree. Happened to me after 7mths. It wasnt just a fwb, it was the good stuff, which makes it so much harder to ever understand. If your done with me, fine, just say, I'm a big girl. Anything would of been better than the nothingness, even if it wasnt what I wanted to hear. No news isnt always good news lol

Here I see it differently tho. If you were in a bar and chatted to a bloke, does that mean you then have to say hello and chat to him everytime you see him?

Thst is up until you get to the point of arranging a meet...then I just get stood up.

That's not ghosting ... thats just rude!

Ghosting is when you're in an actual relationship with a person and they go suddenly awol with no explanation at all! It's emotionally horrendous

Had a ghost tonight. At the meet he simply never responded no more.

Hard luck though as I was sat with a sexy Caribbean beauty. Ha ha.

It's standard fab terms that no reply or contact means there's no further interest. Even if contact went beyond fab, it's likely still to be the same.

Everyone should be used to or understand this in fab, due to the site terms - but it's less usual in the wider world, hence this term gaining awareness upon it.

Spread your interest widely and assume that most people who you chat with you will not meet and even fewer will you fuck. A much smaller number will be repeat fuck buddies.

Get used to being dropped without any details or farewell message.
