Who have you messaged on here with no reply. I have messaged a few with good personal content, polite, articulate and friendly with no response. Then again I am a single male xx

Happens all the time. I send polite responded back unless they are just weird or ask for private meets. They get instantly blocked without warning

I cleared my inbox last night and had 450 messages (roughly) and I replied to three, as they were from friends

My biggest wish is that if you are not interested, delete the message or block Being left on read puts me in a weird limbo of are they interested or not.

With the shere number of people on here, surely blocking those you are not interested in would out the people you are not interested in and make fabbing easier.

Most threads suggest it's to come back to later, especially for couples but is that really the case?

Should I send another message?

Mabe I am overthinking it...

Loads of times, but that's life. Im not going to be everyone's type. In 'the real world' if I was to walk up to 100 women and ask if they fancied me not all of them are going to say yes. Don't take it personal. There's lots of competition so just be realistic

Of the six messages that I have sent completely cold in my three years here only one didn't get a reply.

Of the messages I send to people I know and interact with on the forums etc they pretty much always get a reply if one is merited.

What you have to remember is sometimes they're not deliberately left unread - some users get so many messages that lots slip off the page unnoticed.

Then you have those that will look at your profile before even deciding whether to read a message or not so if your profile doesn't appeal then it's likely to remain unread.

Best tip is to delete your sent messages after you've sent them which takes away the "worry" of if they've been read or not - if you then get a reply then it's a nice surprise

I don't respond to anyone who messages me - and say they have read my profile when they clearly haven't..regardless of how polite and well written it is

Around three quarters of the women who I messaged haven't replied back.. But I guess that is about normal for men. Maybe I'm wrong but I've never had much luck getting chats on anything.

I don’t send many messages, I go through stages of looking and not looking for meets, when I do message someone, it’s always original and aimed purely at the recipient - I’m certainly not one of the guys who canvasses everyone with the same generic crap. I’d say it’s 50/50 as to whether I get a reply - but as soon as I send a message I delete it, I don’t obsess.

I generally reply to messages unless it’s text speak, then I simply don’t bother.

I rarely send messages first and I listened to doughy and decided to bite the bullet a couple of times and they got ignored, hence why I shut my singles profile down and now I don’t actively meet at the moment, it really really knocked my confidence, while I don’t care if people like me back etc, to be just ignored really got me. Felt like a single bloke when I had my single profile!

I normally keep the messages so if a reply comes through, I know what I said as every message is tailored bar a few lines.

Once i commit to a site supporter, I will happily delete messages. Just dont have the money on my right budget right now to splurge.

The thing is OP, and any other single men who are finding they're not getting the replies they hoped for, or even expected - if that's not working for you, why don't you change your approach rather than taking the "that's life for a single man" view?

Take a look at your profiles and see what you can change there, if they're negative and downbeat, make them positive and upbeat, if your pics are a series of cocks, change it.

Look at the messages you are sending and work out if you could send something different.

Or perhaps make a decision to be all over the forums or chat rooms and get yourself known that way, or perhaps look for local group socials you can get along to.

Thing is Fab won't change for you, so you have to make changes for it if you want to have a better experience frkm it, the key is working out what those changes need to be.

Be positive, and be proactive and make changes and it won't guarantee a thing of course but it will probably make your experience of the site a whole lot better.

On my singles profile, a lot of messages got missed as i had so many. Even from people I enjoyed talking to. We've always replied on our couples one, but to be honest, it sometimes leads to someone asking to meet, or being disrespectful to LJ by trying to disregard him. That's when we blank and don't reply. We are getting to the point where we no longer reply to those we don't know.

Speaking as a Tgirl I get an untold number of messages every day, loads. Looking at the OP's profile then he has no veris, a boring profile and a ridiculous pic. I know he isn't looking for me but with my fem mind I wouldn't be interested no matter how sincere and polite his initial message was.

The reason I don't reply to most is that it just prompts a reaction of "why not" etc and a chain of responses. I don't have enough hours in my life.

My suggestion to the OP is to get yourself down to some swingers clubs, have a chat, make some connections and then start to build a reputation. If you live in Liverpool then you have the Townhouse on your doorstep and it's good xxx

This is how I deal with incoming messages.

1. Decide if Im interested, by contents of message/checking profile.

2. If I'm interested, message back, begin a dialogue.

3. I'm not interested, but the messenger has clearly read my profile and is on my wavelength and seems sound. A polite no thank you.

4.It's clear from my profile what Im looking for so. All crazy, pushy, obviously fake and people looking for something totally different as well as one's that my Spidey senses tell me are dicks I just delete. I Don't bother blocking anyone unless they keeps messaging after I have made my position clear.

As an addendum, People who don't use paragraphs really get my goat. It's not a deal breaker but it's definitely not doing them any favours.

Happens a lot. I just delete the message write a private note on their profile to remind me what’s happened then either forget about them or block them

This forum posts comes up daily. Like said earlier it’s not your choice if somebody replies, deletes or blocks your message.

A point to note;

You may think you’re the best match for that person and that they should reply to you. However don’t be surprised at this, but they might not agree with you.

Nobody has to behave how you feel they should. Fab advice even tells you that consider no reply as a no thanks.
