Rejoined a long time ago, giving my real age this time, and know what?.....I had better results!

I've got friends/people I went to school with who haven't aged as well as they would like, but they don't look that old!

People often lie about their age to bypass filters. I think it's self defeating in the end.

Some people look older than their age because the years have not been kind...either through their own behaviour or other factors.

I get messages all the time from profiles with ages in their 30s or 40s where the message is, would you meet a younger guy? I'm (something under 25).

If I would, my filters would allow it (my upper limit is different).

Suppose the age thing is for filters as people have a set image in there mind how a 30 year old looks and how a 50 year old looks for example but if you were in a club you wouldn’t ask somebody there age you just go off if your attracted to them. We have plenty of messages from young people saying fancy meeting someone younger? as if their age is the winning factor, funny enough more often than not it’s not

I get that. On here if I see an age close to my parents, it's an instant turn off, I know full well I could have played with someone in a club my parents ages and not known it if they didn't reveal it...

I think the majority of people don’t really lie about their age. Those that do it’s normally to get round filters and that’s usually blokes as women set their filters tight.

A lot of blokes will have their filters at 18- 99 so it doesn’t really matter how old a woman is.

I've seen some horribly out of date pictures, like scanned prints with decades of fading.

And plenty recycle their pictures.

It's usually possible to tell when someone has lied significantly about their age. I have to admit we sometimes raise an eyebrow at the audacity and dare I say it self delusion of some. I think it's best to stick to the same decade if you're going to alter your age.

Age is something I stopped worrying about years ago. My age is incorrect on here as Im older but my pictures are resent. I had a body analyser done the other day and my metabolic age was 17 years younger than my actual age.

I joined this site when I was very young.

What I can tell you is that age really matters to women, and a small tweak can have large effects.

I once met a girl from here, a lovely girl. She was '19' and I was '25'. She invited me back to her house once. She'd forgotten to tidy her room before inviting me in. I saw her school tie on her bed. She noticed that I saw it and got upset. She said, "that's it isn't it?". I said, "Be honest with me, how old are you?". She then said "17". I said "I'm really sorry about this, you're a lovely girl, but I don't want to take the risk". She was ok about it. We carried on chatting, but nothing happened.

As far as I'm concerned, aslong as you're not breaking any laws, you can do whatever you want. If you want to lie about age, that's fine with me.

I’ve found guys in 20’s profile says 30’s as they want to meet older ladies

Guys in late 40’s & 50’s Knock up to a decade off to fall in to the under 45 search

One guy I met his profile said he was 40 and chatting he let slip his son was 30 lol

Women only tend to shave off a few years but I have seen the same women stay under 50 by rejoining and keeping their age at 48 and the odd 53 yr old with 38 on their profile...

When I joined Fab I actually added a few years to my age as I thought it’d put younger males off (silly I know) and I haven’t changed it since nor I have plans on changing it so I am a tad younger that my profile says.

Mine is correct, I am 38. I still feel like I'm a young boy, but when i see my age in text, I think to my self damn that is a big number.

Since using this site it's the first time I've wanted to be older.. I see an attractive older lady and can't message her,necsuss of filters Fml lol.

Everyone lies about their age on Fab except the people who’ve replied to this post.

We met a couple who were supposedly 5 years younger than us but looked easily 5 years older.

. I'm 45 and could lie and say I'm 50 and get away with it,but no way could I knock some years off since I started going grey in my 20s. It's pretty obvious you'd be found out sooner rather than later.
