Do people always need to have something secret for themselves, even when as a couple you are (meant) to be being open and honest in the swinging lifestyle?

(These were our rules set out from the beginning, but we realise everyone is different)

Its human nature. Open couples aren't always as open and exclusive couples aren't always exclusive!!

This has been my experience from being on here for many years.

Of course, couples can have secrets. The issue is the nature of the secret.

I had secret from my husband for 2 years...my work hours changed and I finished an hour earlier than he thought I did. I used to go to a mates house for a cuppa or park up near the beach or somewhere and read a book. Lmao

No, not cheating.

Just not being as forthcoming with our actions as we were when we got first here.

I am USELESS at keeping secrets

Even down to if I’ve snuck some biscuits and I’m meant to be trying to be good. I end up telling Mr P.

Mrs P

It’s not all totally related to swinging to be fair

Depends on the secrets then I suppose. If it's a monster bar of Dairy Milk hidden at the back of the cupboard, or a secret family in Hull.

I'm completely honest with my partner. He supports my choices. He's not cuckold etc but knows I can't do monogamy so is fine with the relationship I've built up with my fwb. I feel lucky that I can be honest and open with him.
