Did anyone watch Holst the Planets last night with Professor Coxy?

Just one scene of Earth through the rings of Jupiter (I think).

If you had a big enough space ship and enough fuel and food etc could you travel to the edge of space and what happens there?

You'd need to travel at close to the speed of light.

Energy needed would be huge.

Theoretically possible.

But as time would be slower for you at that speed (you wouldn't notice), when you came back to Earth, it would be millions of years into the future.

Theoretically yes. The Universe is finite. So goes popular theory. What's at the edge? God knows. A blur of things at the speed of light? The weird thing is the absolute nothing beyond. No space. No time. Nothing at all .

There is finite mass as determined by finite gravity holding it together, just. There is no end as such. Like there is no North to the North Pole.
