So do I sell up and go to Spain with family or take a cut of the money from the house sale and stay in the uk.

I’m so confused what to do I need some direction as I’m just going around in circles deciding.

Depends on your situation and what you actually want out of life.

I plan to move to Turkey later this year and I already know it'll be the best thing I ever do. But I have no ties here so it's an easy decision for me.

What are the pros and cons of both?

Which of those things matters most to you?

I sold up and moved to Spain 2 years ago. No regrets it's a great country cheap to live and great climate

Go for it. I am. I spend a lot of time there anyway and the plan has always been to move there permanently eventually. I absolutely love it there.

Make a list of pros & cons.

Have you done your research on what moving to Spain entails for you?

Is there an option for you to go later to Spain?

by the big field

i'm currently very tempted to not buy a new house but just sell mine, trade in my car for a motorhoe, quit work (or request a very extended break) and bugger off across the water to see where i end up- with no fixed plans to return.

Really just had enough of this country and life in general, if it wasn't for aging parents i'd probably already be on my way, so go for it...you can always come back if its not what you want

I have a pro and con list the equal out, I change my mind daily on what to do.

I’m torn between my head and heart.

The pressure from my mum is the trouble and guilt should anything happen to her if I don’t go.

We have looked in campello/sax areas I loved Moria but it’s out of budget. Planning on going to almeria in July to look at that area.

Have you already bought in Spain? Just make sure you get a proper solicitor if you do and make sure it’s all done properly. There is so much small print and things that can go wrong when buying. They can be a bit sneaky. I used an English solicitor x

We have both. A house in North Wales and a villa in Javea Spain. We started off with six months in each and are gradually moving to full time in Spain. Why? Sun. A relaxed outlook on life. Health - mediterranean people live longer. A lack of the everyday crap peddled by the tabloids in the UK. Dozens Of good swinger clubs. It goes on. Why would we want to live in the UK?

Move to Spain. You'll love it.

P.s. we have an ill elderly relative in the UK too. It's 6 hours door to door from Spain via Easyjet and 5 from North Wales by car

This.

Do your research. How about doing a trial run and renting something over there for 3 months and see how it goes?

Can you speak to other ex pats online too and get their dos and don’ts.

I would go to live in Spain if that is what your heart is telling you....

Its only a 2 and a half hour flight back to the UK should you have to return at short notice to the UK for anything...

I also agree with the previous advice to get an English solicitor out there to make sure everything is legal and how it should be when your buying a property...
