A whole bunch of the flowers and s of a multitude of nations youth were doing their last checks, writing their wills, doing the last post card home, saying a prayer or however they got ready.

It wasn't a politician or philosopher or poet or singer or great artist who paid the price for freedom in the morning and over the days weeks and months to come. It was just as likely a street corner thug or aprentice that went up the beaches or dropped into enemy territory.

Freedom has never been brought by the free it's been brought by a volunteer or draftee with a gun.

Wether they wanted to be there or not.

It would be interesting to see how many would think it was worth it, given the total shambles the country is now in and the shower of shite we have asleep at the wheel

They'd be volunteers?

When people talked in Ireland ( from all sides with all sides ) the situation became more peaceful , yet those who talked are still criticised for talking -------------- Unfotunately WW2 appears as though the only way to win was matching force with force

Think the talking In Ulster came after limiting the terrorist options.
