Why do people assume your status means your wanting to meet?

Not having a dig btw.

However status says “working from home” (and a bit about doing washing)

Inbox is destroyed with messages;

a) thinking it’s the female half.

b) reading it as an invitation to come round.

It’s just a status, are we doing it wrong here?

You’ve posted a status, they’re not necessarily thinking about the context it’s just a way in to speak to you.

Post a status and it hits local updates and wham you are flooded.

Unless my theory is wrong and the messages are from all over, people check hotlist updates too.
